Welcome to Muir Lea Stores, proudly owned by Chris, Wendy, and Sam Bancroft since November 2013. Since taking over the shop, we’ve worked hard to transform it into a welcoming village store that truly serves the needs of both the local community and visitors to Robin Hood’s Bay.
Located in the heart of the lower village, we’re open every day of the year except Christmas Day — after all, Santa needs a well-earned rest after a busy night delivering presents! Sometimes we also go on holiuday in December as well while it is quiet to recharge our batteries.
Whether you’re a local resident, visiting for the day, or enjoying a stay in the village, we stock a wide range of everyday essentials and holiday treats. From fresh food, milk, newspapers, and wine to beach toys, gifts, and much more, we aim to provide everything you might need during your time in Robin Hood’s Bay.
Since 2013, our goal has always been simple: to offer the widest possible range of quality products at competitive prices. We’re continually improving our supplier network and regularly updating our stock to ensure there’s always something new to discover in store.
